We Meet Again...

Here we are again. Like crosstown rivals. The Ninjerks facing their Apollo in the ring once more (The Magnificent Wheels of Destiny). Will it be a triumphant Rockyesque finish? Or will reality win over fantasy once more?

They are up to their old hijinx as expected. I'm not at liberty to speak about it, suffice it to say, it isn't very sportsman-like (the details which are privy only to ourselves and legal council).

In an effort to balance our Chi, we have taught our team mascot to defend himself. Here he is with a life-like paper mache ninja in his sights...cool huh. Thanks Buddha.

Since it rained yesterday, you earned double points. And a lot of people rode, so it changed the scores pretty dramatically. Way to go. The forecast calls for more rain this week, so strategize accordingly.

Once there was a band of ninjas who traveled the lands battling any who dared challenge them. They bested many foes, and began to make a name for themselves (it wasn't a very good one). Undefeated and full of confidence, the T.S. Ninjas, were completely unprepared for the battle that lay ahead. Enter the 'MAGNIFICENT WHEELS OF DESTINY' . The Mag Wheels, also undefeated, were not ones to idlely assume that all victories would be handed to them. They trained, sparred amongest themselves, imbibed copius amounts of vitamin-barley-hop-energy drinks, shook their fists at the uncooperative skies, and entrenched themselves firmly on the side of righteousness. Every member of the Mags were accustomed to daily hardships, but a handful of their elite warriors elevated the battle to such a height, that early on the Ninjas began to experience an ominous feeling unknow to them...FEAR. After a fortnight of bloodshed (and a lot of ninja pajama repairs), the victory was clear. The Magnificent Wheels of Destiny would remain undefeated, and the Totally Whooped Ninjas were, by the compassion of their victors, left alive to battle other teams that the Mags had already vanquished...or would soon.

Updated Season Schedule

Hello All,

You may have noticed that the Season Schedule link, that shows the current scores looks slightly different. That's because it is a Google Docs file. One advantage is that we can now put more information up for everyone to see. Check out the links at the top of the Season Schedule page - the Season Scoreboard will show you the past and current game scores, the Current Game with Player Detail shows how many points each player is contributing to each team in the current game, and the Current Game Daily Data shows every players individual logged commutes - that is where you would go to make sure your commutes were logged correctly.

I've got some other ideas that I'll try to get done to make it more readable. I'll let you know if they work.

I'll also try and put together some stats at the end of this game and send them out.

Kong Vs. Ninja

I just wanted to share this video with you all. It illustrates the epic struggle between classic King Kong and the evil Ninja Kong.

I find it to be a fitting metaphor to the battle that will inevitably occur between the two blood rivals - Team El King Kong and Team Ninjas with lazers.

Round 1 Day 1

Day 1 has closed and the challenge has already taken casualties. As far as I can tell some of you forgot to log your commute home and some of you forgot to log in at all.

Be sure you enter your commute home by 9pm. If you make a mistake logging your miles you can send me an email or message me on the back end site. Just be sure you do it before 9pm.

Team Thompson, temporarily known as Totally Sweet Ninjas, is going to kick all your butts. You know how I know this? Because Ninjas are totally sweet and they flip out and kick peoples butts all the time.

I have a friend named John who's a ninja and one time he kicked someone's butt so hard it left an impression in his gene pool.
